Bills' Josh Allen offers glowing scouting report on James Cook's performance vs. Jets image

The Buffalo Bills, as expected, secured a win over the New York Jets 30-10 at MetLife Stadium, but it was the manner in which they did it that was surprising.

It wasn't Josh Allen putting on the Superman cape as he did last week, going 14 of 25 for 148 yards and no touchdowns, but this time it was running back James Cook who took over the game.

No. 4, who signed his new contract this offseason, tore the Jets apart, rushing for 132 yards and two touchdowns on his 21 carries to be the driving force behind the win.

And don't think Allen wasn't impressed with Cook's game.

“I thought James was doing a great job of getting on to the second level,” Allen said. “He had a heck of a game, and yeah, when something's not broke, don't fix it, and we kept going back to it and worked out pretty good for us.”

Cook masterclass proves Bills' Super Bowl credentials

The one thing about the Bills that will put them in good standing for a Super Bowl appearance is that Sean McDermott's team can win multiple ways, and that has been on show in the opening two weeks.

In Week 1, it was Allen being Superman and throwing the ball all over the yard to lead his team to a win, and this week, it was Cook who took the lead and powered Buffalo to its second win of the season.

Cook's monster day against the Jets is also further proof that general manager Brandon Beane was right in handing out a new deal to James this offseason, and we can see how crucial he is to the team's success.

If it ain't broke, don't fix it? Yeah, when Cook is rolling like that, we tend to agree.
