The Buffalo Bills were one of a handful of teams that didn't make a trade prior to the deadline, while others made moves.
For a team that is 6-2, there aren't too many roster holes that general manager Brandon Beane can plug, and he wasn't going to make a trade for the sake of making one. Still, some fans might have wanted a fresh face for the second half of the season.
Last year, it was Amari Cooper, but no one came through the doors this time.
And Beane revealed why that is while also making quite the statement on the current state of the roster.
“I believe in our roster," Beane said. "I do believe we can win a championship with this roster. I cannot force someone to trade me a player. It takes two. And there are guys that I'm looking, I'm like, man, I would think that guy might be available. He's gonna be a free agent, and their team's not doing well, and maybe they would want a draft cap, and they are standing pat.”

Do Bills have a championship roster?
It is easy to say yes, and last year's roster proved it can get to an AFC Championship game. With Josh Allen at the helm, the Super Bowl is always going to be the goal.
At 6-2, the Bills are set up nicely to attack the second half of the season, and yes, they still have to chase down the New England Patriots for the division lead, but you will be hard-pressed to find anyone who doesn't think the Bills are up to their eyeballs in Super Bowl talk.
A trade wouldn't have moved that needle too much, and Beane stated that it does take two parties to do a deal, and the Bills were looking around, so there might have been some value somewhere, but things just didn't align.
Is it championship or bust for Buffalo in 2025? You could easily make that case.
