For all of their inconsistencies this season, in Week 15, the Buffalo Bills, in beating the New England Patriots 35-31, showed that they are still more than capable of winning it all.
Yes, each side of the ball has had its down moments, but when it all comes together as it did in the second half, with the offense scoring touchdowns on four straight possessions, and the defense only allowing one score on five drives, it is superb to watch.
As such, the Bills are now only one game behind the Patriots for the AFC East lead; Buffalo is beginning to look ominous.
And for Eric Edholm, in his latest power rankings, the Bills move up two spots to No. 4.
"Josh Allen had just 35 pass yards at halftime, and Buffalo trailed, 24-7, with its division-title dreams seemingly up in smoke," Edholm wrote. "But the Bills rallied with incredible fury, reminding the NFL world just how dangerous they are, especially in a post-Patrick Mahomes playoff environment.
"It's been a strange path, but the Bills are nearly as desperate and dangerous as they've recently been."

Bills hitting form at right time
With impressive wins over the Cincinnati Bengals and Patriots in consecutive weeks, the Bills are starting to hit their straps at the right time.
With three games left in the regular season, the Bills will face the Cleveland Browns and Philadelphia Eagles before closing out with a home game against the New York Jets.
There is a case to be made that the Bills can win all three of those, and if that happens, they will enter the playoffs off a six-game winning streak.
Having been inconsistent for a three-week stretch that saw Buffalo go 1-2, it appears to be hitting its stride, and with Josh Allen playing the best he has all year, the Bills are lurking with serious Super Bowl intent.
