The Buffalo Bills drafted Keon Coleman to bolster the offense in the passing game, and while he has shown promise in his first year and seven games, there have also been inconsistencies.
Having had one game where he totaled more than 45 yards (Week 1), Keon has had a little trouble getting involved in the passing attack this season and had just 11 yards from three catches in the loss to Atlanta.
With the weapons around Josh Allen injured, someone needed to step up, and none did, and the Bills entered the bye week on a two-game losing streak with the offense stuttering and spluttering.
The bye week came at the perfect time for the Bills to reassess what went wrong and how to get their groove back. But when it comes to Coleman, ESPN's Dan Orlovsky has an idea of how Joe Brady can get "0" rolling.
“Keon's got to take a step forward,” Orlovsky said on One Bills Live. “He just has to, and if Keon's not going to be a guy that is going to go whip people on routes, I'd like to see them get Keon going laterally a little bit more candidly. We know he's got a big frame and he can win some of those jump balls, but I'd like to see him get laterally on some schemes and maybe get the ball in his hands a little bit more often in the pass concept.”

Can Coleman be "the" guy for Buffalo?
In simple terms, yes, he can be, but given how the offense is operated with Allen not force-feeding the ball to one player, it can be hard for receivers to "go off" in a game for 150 yards with 10 catches.
Because of the everybody eats mantra, Allen sprays the ball around often, meaning most get four or five catches each, and that means when chances come your way, they must be taken. Coleman has only had more than three receptions in a game twice, so he has to make the most of every opportunity that comes his way.
Is Orlovsky's idea worth a try? Absolutely. We always hear "find ways to get your best players the ball," and for a receiver like Coleman, getting him confident early can lead to fireworks.
For an offense that is a little broken right now, getting Keon rolling might be the spark Brady's offense needs.
