TL;DR
- Lamar Jackson missed Baltimore Ravens practice on Wednesday, raising health concerns.
- Coach John Harbaugh stated it was not in Jackson's best interest to practice.
- The Ravens are taking a careful approach with Jackson as Week 12 nears.
- Jackson's absence is similar to last week, and he played against the Cleveland Browns.
Another week has arrived, and with it, another cloud of uncertainty surrounds the health of Baltimore Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson, who was absent from Wednesday's practice session.
The NFL community took notice when No. 8 was sidelined from practice, considering Lamar's past injuries.
When head coach John Harbaugh met with the media, the initial inquiry, as expected, concerned Lamar. Harbaugh indicated the situation hadn't changed from the previous week and that he had no new public details to disclose.
But he did offer this.
It's football, and it's tough, and I do value your questions, but I genuinely have nothing to share, Harbaugh said. Some players are able to train, while others aren't. We'd prefer to rest some individuals to ensure they're prepared.
“I get it, but it's just kind of the nature of the deal. So, I know that Lamar, it's our quarterback. I understand how important it is, and wasn't in his best interest to practice today. And we'll see where we're at tomorrow.”

The Ravens are taking a careful approach with Lamar Jackson as Week 12 approaches.
Harbaugh's statement, "not in his best interest," regarding practice, is noteworthy and warrants further examination into its underlying reasons.
Baltimore could have stated Jackson was experiencing minor discomfort (without pinpointing the location) and was merely recuperating on a day that's a regular break for some athletes. However, this approach has now sparked our curiosity regarding Jackson's absence from practice and the reasons it wasn't beneficial for him to participate.
It is all rather odd, but the same thing happened last week, and Jackson was fine and suited up against the Cleveland Browns.
And we assume it will be business as usual for Jackson in the coming days as he gets ready for the Jets.
