Wild trade idea for Ravens' Lamar Jackson surfaces involving Pro Bowl QB image

We are all for trade proposals around here, but this one involving Baltimore Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson is too far-fetched for us.

With the Ravens undergoing changes this offseason, coupled with Lamar's contract that sees a monster $74.5 million cap hit in 2026, things have to change.

For most, a simple extension will free up cap space and keep the two-time MVP winner around.

But one anonymous NFL executive, who spoke with The Athletic's Mike Sando, has an outrageous trade proposal.

"Does a 32-year-old Lamar Jackson scare you?" An exec from another team said. "If you are Baltimore, would you trade Lamar to Miami for Tua (Tagovailoa) and four ones? You get something for taking Tua's deal off their hands. I 100 percent would trade him."

Goodness me.

Lamar trade isn't feasible

First of all, Tua Tagovailoa hasn't proven to be anything other than a competent quarterback.

You are not trading him for Lamar Jackson.

The next thing is four No. 1 picks? That's just silly, and a surefire way to cannonball your team for the next decade.

The Dolphins aren't giving up four ones for Lamar. They just aren't.

Granted, I'm just a writer here, but that is far too steep a price for Lamar, even if he is one of the league's best quarterbacks.

But this is what the NFL offseason is all about. Workshopping ideas and seeing what is viable and what isn't.

And Jackson in Miami for Tua and four first-round picks is certainly not viable.
