The Baltimore Ravens are ushering in a new era under head coach Jesse Minter, and the AFC North franchise has a chance to start it with an almighty bang.

We are under two months from the NFL's free agency window opening, and it is here where the Ravens can be ruthless in their search for talent.

Having missed the playoffs last season, the franchise will want to make sure it doesn't happen again, and in free agency, a big fish could be landed for Minter's defense.

CBS Sports' Zachary Pereles has named the Ravens as a potential landing spot for Cincinnati Bengals pass rusher Trey Hendrickson.

"The Ravens finished 31st in sack rate, and they could lose many edge defenders in free agency," Pereles wrote. "There's a clear need here, and Hendrickson fits the Ravens' win-now window."

Could Ravens actually get Hendrickson?

Well, one thing we know about Hendrickson is that his relationship with the Bengals isn't great, and most think his time there is over.

So that's one thread. Also, Spotrac.com has Trey's market value set at $25.4 million APY, so he would be a little expensive.

The other is that Trey will likely want to move to a contender given his age, so that takes out a host of teams, and the Ravens, you could make the case, if they stay healthy in 2026, have all the tools needed to go on a deep run.

Pass rush, as Pereles wrote, was a big issue for Baltimore last season, and in Hendrickson, in 2023 and 2024, posted 17.5 sacks before injury ruined his 2025 season just seven games in.

So, there is a world where Trey swaps Cincinnati for Baltimore, and if that happens, the defense under Minter just got a whole lot more dangerous.
