The Baltimore Ravens' season was just about ended with the loss to the New England Patriots, and what made things even worse is Lamar Jackson exited the game in the first half thanks to a back injury

It has been the season from hell for the Ravens, and losing to the Patriots and seeing the Pittsburgh Steelers beat the Detroit Lions, the playoffs are a long way away now.

But back to Lamar.

He was in visible discomfort during and after the game, which points to something semi-serious.

And on Monday, head coach John Harbaugh gave us an update on Lamar's injury.

"Lamar has a back contusion," Harbaugh said. "Painful certainly, saw him in here getting treatment this morning and this afternoon early, and he'll be working. He's been classified as day-to-day on that. Nothing beyond a contusion, but I don't want to minimize the severity and the pain level of that because it's legit, and that's where it stands."

Can Ravens still win AFC North?

The Ravens would need some serious help.

They would have to win their last two games, and the Steelers would need to lose their last two.

That doesn't seem feasible.

Baltimore will be kicking itself, as it had a chance to slay the Patriots, being up by double digits in the fourth quarter, and couldn't hold on to the lead.

And that loss, for all intents and purposes, ended Baltimore's playoff hopes.

That, and Lamar's injury, perfectly sums up the Ravens' 2025 season.
