Is Lamar Jackson injured? Update on Ravens' star QB image

The Baltimore Ravens were already in a 30-13 hole against the Kansas City Chiefs, with John Harbaugh's team needing something positive to go their way.

But it appears the football gods at Arrowhead Stadium didn't want that to happen. With the third quarter winding down, the CBS Sports broadcast revealed that Lamar had work done on his leg in the commercial timeout.

Cooper Rush came in for a series, and then NFL Network's Ian Rapoport posted on X that Jackson was questionable with a hamstring injury as the Ravens' poor day against their AFC rivals got considerably worse.

Jackson rushed for 48 yards on six attempts, and we aren't exactly sure when the hamstring injury occurred, but for Rush to go into the game straight away, that isn't a good sign.

Lamar Jackson's injury a cruel blow

We aren't sure if it was just a precaution, but videos circulating online show Lamar after a running play, coming off the field and then tossing his helmet to the bench, seemingly in a sign that he knows he has done something to his hamstring.

It is also possible that, given the state of the game, down 30-13, the Ravens are simply playing the cautious approach and living to fight another day with No. 8.

Still, hamstring injuries can hang around, and for a quarterback who makes a living running around and extending plays, the Ravens, at least in the short-term, might be in a bit of trouble.
