Javon Bardwell is a 6'4", 160 lbs four-star recruit from Scottsdale, Arizona. He currently attends PHH Prep.
Bardwell is a four-star recruit in the class of 2027. He is currently ranked number 40 in the ESPN top 60 for the class of 2027. One program he is potentially considering attending in a couple of years is the Texas Longhorns.
Javon Bardwell Could Commit to the Texas Longhorns
Joe Tipton of on3.com covers college basketball. He reported that the four-star recruit is down to four schools in his recruiting process. Texas is one of the four schools that Bardwell is considering. The other three schools that he is interested in are the USC Trojans, the Louisville Cardinals, and the Kansas Jayhawks.
He also had offers from the Texas Tech Red Raiders, the TCU Horned Frogs, the Arizona State Sun Devils, and the Mississippi State Bulldogs. It is interesting that Bardwell decided to turn down an in-state school.
Rivals' National Recruiting Analyst Jamie Shaw said about him this summer,
"Javon Bardwell has a great frame with length and projectability. He scored the ball well today, either shooting off the catch or finishing at the basket. He will need to continue adding strength and consolidating his game, but he is a high scoring wing around 6-foot-6 as things stand."
Texas does not have any commits in the ESPN top 60 for the class of 2027 yet. They do have one recruit from the ESPN top 100 for the class of 2026 and that is Bo Ogden. If they were to land Bardwell, it would be a nice addition for head coach Sean Miller and his basketball program.
