Kevin Durant's time in Phoenix has officially come to an end after an NBA record seven-team trade was finalized Sunday.
Durant will play for the Rockets next season, in search of a third championship.
Before turning his attention to Houston, he had one last message for the Suns and their fans.

What was the message?
Durant posted on X a farewell message to Phoenix:
My time in Phoenix has come to an end. All these stops along the journey have really impacted me in a positive way. Remeber it’s a world behind the scenes, and those who make things work in that space, work tirelessly to make our lives easier as players. I appreciate all the quick interactions with everybody from support staff to teammates distant cousins, it’s all a family that I’m grateful to be apart of, no matter what. I truly believe this nba is a one big community. Much love to Arizona. Houston, Can’t Wait!
In an interview after finding out he was traded, Durant was critical of Suns fans.
He said, "They wanted me to go," and "They got what they wanted, and I got what I wanted."
Durant's management and the Suns were navigating trade options for weeks before coming to a deal, so it was publicly known that KD and the Suns' relationship had come to an end.

Durant and the Suns struggled to have team success during his time there.
They made the playoffs two out of the three seasons he was there, and had just one ECSF appearance.
Durant hasn't been involved in a conference finals series since 2019, so he hopes that Houston can be the city where he breaks that drought in 2026.
