The Philadelphia 76ers have been an interesting team to watch so far this season. Tyrese Maxey has been great, VJ Edgecome has come along, and even Paul George is contributing.
But the status of Joel Embiid has always fluctuated, and on Tuesday night, Embiid was off to a strong start with 19 points, three rebounds, and 16 minutes played before he took a fall in the third quarter.
It was a scary scene as Embiid went to the locker room with a knee injury. However, as Underdog NBA shared on Twitter/X not long after the fall and departure to the locker room, Embiid returned to the 76ers bench, giving 76ers fans a sigh of relief.
76ers get positive Joel Embiid news after worrying injury scene
Embiid's fall was a major concern for 76ers fans, as they've seen the beloved center fall and suffer injuries over the last few years, especially with his knees.
This injury scare was no different, and yet, after a brief stint in the locker room, Embiid returned to the 76ers bench with some ice wrapped around his knees.

And not long after Embiid left for the locker room, he returned to the game. In the moment after his return to the floor, Embiid committed an offensive foul, a turnover, and missed a two-point jump shot.
But, while his first plays back on the court weren't the best, the 76ers got some positive news as he returned not just to the bench after a worrying fall, but to the court.
His injury will be one to watch the rest of the game closely, and going forward. The 76ers' next game is on December 26th, so Embiid will have some time to recover from this fall if he feels worse after Tuesday night's game against the Brooklyn Nets.
