Thunder GM gives concerning injury update on All-NBA player image

The Thunder have been on cloud nine for the last week.

They beat the Pacers last Sunday in Game 7 of the NBA Finals to clinch the title.

Unfortunately, it was revealed that one player was playing through an injury, and we just received an update on it.

What is the injury update on Jalen Williams?

Thunder general manager Sam Presti revealed in a press conference on Monday that Jalen Williams will have an offseason procedure to fix a wrist issue he had.

That injury was a torn ligament in one of his wrists that he was playing through.

He was said to have suffered the injury before the playoffs started this year.

Williams was a catalyst in many Thunder wins this postseason, averaging 21.4 PPG, 5.5 RPG and 4.8 APG.

Shai Gilgeous-Alexander tends to get a lot of the credit, as the league MVP and number one option on OKC, but Williams was fantastic this postseason, especially playing through this injury.

Williams should be available to return for the start of next season, according to Presti.
