A lot has changed in the NBA over the past few months.
Players are set to play with new teams for the first time, and a brand-new TV deal will roll in next season.
Fans have eagerly been anticipating when key matchups will be played, and they might get an answer sooner rather than later.
When does the 2025-26 NBA schedule release?
According to NBA writer/insider Marc Stein, the full schedule is set to release on Thursday, August 14.
We have already gotten insight into games we can expect to happen on Christmas Day and Opening Night.
Opening Night (NBC on Oct. 21):
- Rockets at Thunder
- Warriors at Lakers
Thursday will give more clarity into more games we can expect, as well as each team's in-depth schedule.

Other notable games that will be revealed on Thursday that have yet to be reported are Saturday night/Sunday afternoon primetime games, MLK day games and more.
We'll also see the brand new slate of games that NBC will cover for the first time in two decades, as well as Prime, which will broadcast NBA games for the first time this upcoming season.
The NBA preseason will begin on Oct. 2 and run until Oct. 17.
The regular season will officially begin on Oct. 21, although most teams will play their first game on Oct. 22. The season will end on Apr. 12.
