Before things move to Las Vegas, NBA Summer League action begins with the California Classic in Sacramento, Calif. 

For the fifth year, the Kings will host the event, which also features the Heat, Hornets, Lakers, Spurs and Warriors. Games will be played on July 3 and July 5, with the league taking a day off for the Fourth of July.

Headlining the players at this year's California Classic is No. 2 overall pick Brandon Miller, who will take the floor for the first time donning Charotte's purple and teal.

When is the California Classic NBA Summer League?

The California Classic NBA Summer League consists of six games played over three days, beginning on Monday, July 3. The league will take a day off for the Fourth of July holiday.
