After a concerning start to the season, Karl-Anthony Towns is back on the right track, and his efforts are being noticed league wide.
Towns was nominated for the Eastern Conference Player of the Week award after a strong week in which the Knicks went 3-0. Towns averaged 25.3 points and 11.7 rebounds per game, while shooting 52 percent from the floor during that span.
On the season, Towns is now averaging 20.7 points, and 12.7 rebounds per game as he continues to tear it up after his slow start. After just an eight-point performance on Oct. 28 against the Milwaukee Bucks, Towns has scored 20 points or more in four of his last five outings, including a season-best 33 points against the Washington Wizards, and 28 points against the Brooklyn Nets.
Towns has yet to win Player of the Week as a member of the Knicks, but has won it seven times in his career, all as a member of the Minnesota Timberwolves. He most recently won the award in March 2022. Despite not earning Player of the Week honors as a Knick yet, Towns was named Player of the Month in December 2024 with New York.
