Giannis Antetokounmpo is one of the top players in the league, and he might soon be playing for another team.

Over the past decade and change, Antetokounmpo has played for the Milwaukee Bucks. Growing from a project into the face of the franchise, Antetokounmpo has accomplished everything a player could want in his time with the Bucks.

However, this offseason, the Bucks’ hopes of keeping Antetokounmpo around have dipped. With Damian Lillard’s injury in the playoffs to losing Brook Lopez in free agency, the Bucks look much different than they did just a couple of months ago.

With Myles Turner coming in and the Bucks clearly ready to go all-in, Antetokounmpo might be swayed enough to not ask for a trade this summer. However, NBA insider Brian Windhorst said on Thursday’s Get Up on ESPN that it might be a bit more complicated.

"The thing about it is, is he didn't give a definitive answer,” Windhorst said. “And I'm certainly not going to analyze something he said seaside in Greece, but what I will say is the 'we'll see,' that is essentially what there's about five or six NBA teams banking on, the 'we'll see.' And I know it sounds trivial, but for years, Giannis was completely locked in.”

For Antetokounmpo, winning has always been the most important thing. While he loves Milwaukee and has stated his desire to stick with the Bucks for his entire career, there might be a situation where he doesn’t feel comfortable with the team’s direction and looks for a new home.

A trade doesn’t appear imminent, but it could be on the table in the near future.
