After Damian Lillard tore his achilles during the postseason, the Bucks decided to part ways with him.
An anticipated pairing of Lillard and Antetokounmpo didn't amount to anything more than constant injuries and disappointment.
The Bucks decided to add Myles Turner after saying goodbye to Lillard, and also inquired this offseason about one former all-star and first overall pick.
What player did Milwaukee have interest in?
NBA insider Brett Siegel of ClutchPoints reported that earlier this offseason, the Bucks "were one of the teams to inquire about Wiggins" after the Heat were open to hearing out offers on him.
Wiggins was acquired at the trade deadline by Miami in the deal that sent Jimmy Butler to the Warriors a few months ago.
Although he's only been with Miami for a few months, the Heat were looking at offers, since they have an abundance of impact players on their roster that can be moved.

Wiggins is still only 29 years old and can score the ball well. He's three years removed from an all-star appearance in 2021-22 and an NBA championship that year.
He's had a slight drop-off since then, but was dealing with some personal issues that may have contributed to on-court struggles.
He had a fairly smooth transition mid-season to Miami and made an impact on the floor, even though the Heat weren't anywhere near being a top-tier team.
The Bucks saw this version of Wiggins as someone who could fit well alongside Giannis.
There hasn't been a ton of movement on the Wiggins situation, as the Heat have a firm price they are asking.
The Bucks are entering somewhat of a roster reconstruction period while still trying to stay competitive, and trading for a player of Wiggins' caliber could be enough to complete a serious core for Milwaukee.
