LeBron James posts cryptic social media video ad regarding retirement image

Even with 22 years in the league and over the age of 40, LeBron James has continued to play All-NBA-level basketball over the last few years.

It's no secret that his career is coming to an end soon; we just don't know how soon.

LeBron may have hinted at his retirement decision in a recent social media post.

Is LeBron retiring?

There haven't been many indications that LeBron won't play next season, but a post he just made on his X account was interesting, to say the least.

Here's what he posted:

The video shows a bunch of reporters yelling questions at LeBron, with one woman asking LeBron if the retirement rumors are true. It then cuts to LeBron leaning in to talk to the mic, but the screen goes black.

Bron captioned the video "I’ve been asking myself the same question… 🤔👑 #ad."

It was weird seeing "#ad" when there was no clear evidence of what it was an ad for.

This could just be a marketing gimmick for some sort of announcement on something non-basketball-related, but who knows?

One of his main goals over the past few years was to play with his son, which he was able to do last season.

There's not much left for him to prove or accomplish, aside from adding on to records he already has.

I don't think this is any indication that he's retiring, but it could mean it's coming sooner than we are prepared for.
