Steph Curry is without a doubt one of, if not the greatest, three-point shooters of all-time.
That isn't news for any casual NBA fan, though, but there's one Steph Curry stat that he's about to reach an unthinkable number in that most have never thought of.
Steph Curry is about to break this barrier for a three-point stat
Entering Wednesday night, Steph Curry currently has 9,958 career 3PA.

That is by far the most by any player in a career, with James Harden back in second place with 9,072.
This means that Curry is 42 3PA away from 10,000 career 3PA.
Curry has put up about 9.4 3PA in his career to get to this point, meaning in about 4-5 games, we should see Curry reach a total that no player has ever come close to.
With how prominent the three-point shot is in today's NBA, there's always a chance this record could be passed, but it will be very difficult.
Luka Doncic is currently second all-time behind Curry for 3PA, with 8.8.
Curry seems to have at least a couple more seasons left in the NBA, so he will continue to increase that total as long as he's healthy.

Assuming Curry plays another two seasons in addition to the rest of this year, at minimum, he should reach around 11,500 3PA by the end of his career.
For Doncic to reach that mark, he'll need to maintain his career average of 8.8 3PA for about another 824 games.
He'll need to play about 13 more seasons, which would put him at nearly 40-years old when he'd match the total Curry is projected to hit by the end of his career.
It's not necessarily a stat that reflects skill, but it certainly shows Curry's dedication in this area of his game, which he has made a career out of.
