Jimmy Butler sparks outrage among Heat fans with postgame move image

Jimmy Butler's cold-shoulder treatment of his former Miami Heat teammates hit different this time around.

The Warriors forward sat out Wednesday's 110-96 loss at Kaseya Center, but his postgame gesture led to fresh outrage across Heat Nation.

Quite frankly, the way he avoided his ex-partners made it seem like he still holds a real grudge against the franchise, and NBA fans don’t like it at all.

Jimmy Butler continues to ice out former brothers-in-arms

Before everyone expected a high-performance show between the Warriors and the Heat, Butler was sidelined with lower back soreness.

So, the crowd at Kaseya Center missed the emotion between Heat players and Butler on the floor.

As the game ended with the home team escaping with a 14-point victory, the crowd expected Butler to reach out to his former teammates and congratulate them. But he did the reverse.

Butler left the court right after the buzzer and headed straight to the locker room without acknowledging anyone from Miami.

Stephen Curry then had to step in to greet them. Even Draymond Green and the rest of the Warriors met and gave respect to the HEAT players following the game.

The disrespect cut deeper because Butler previously claimed his beef was strictly with the front office. In that case, he should not have any bad blood with his old teammates. But the Miami divorce appears to have changed those relationships.

Folks on social media didn't waste time to torch Butler's petty behavior. One fan wrote, "Lmaoooo, he's like a little kid; at least go say hi to your old teammates."

Another added, "I'll always appreciate what he did for us but he's such a cornball man."

"Poor poor Jimmy. It's alright, he'll have no legacy anywhere and he'll only have himself to blame," a third fan noted.

A random X user claimed, "Bro acts like the players didn't pay him."

Maybe his former teammates chose to handle Butler’s behavior professionally and didn’t dwell on it, but the fans clearly did.

Butler helped lead Miami to two Finals runs and built a strong legacy in South Beach. But now, he might be burning through that goodwill one ignored handshake at a time.
