There have been reports that the Los Angeles Lakers could still be interested in landing Al Horford, despite signing Deandre ayton and re-signing Jaxson Hayes. However, according to a recent report from Zach Lowe, it doesn't sound likely that Horford will play for the Lakers.
He added that the former Boston Celtics fan favorite is expected to join the Warriors, despite the delay in his decision.
"All the reporting is that Al Horford is going to be there," Lowe said said on his podcast Thursday (35:45:00 mark). "Something is delaying it, I don't know what that is. I expect him to be there."
Horford joining the Lakers makes some sense, but it's tough to say that they even have a better chance to win a championship than the Celtics do next season.
While the Celtics will be in a different position next year because of Jayson Tatum's injury, it isn't exactly like the Lakers are in the best spot to win it all.
Of course, with Luka Doncic and LeBron James, it wouldn't be surprising to see them do as such, but the Western Conference is so loaded that there's no guarantee for any team in the conference.

Horford, who is getting up there in age and some believe he may retire due to that, would be a good pickup for the Lakers.
Perhaps it’s possible that he could return to the Celtics or sign with the Lakers still, but as Lowe touched on, it's much more likely that he'll end up in Golden State, giving himself another opportunity to win it all.
