The Los Angeles Dodgers have been able to put together a team in the past few years that has made it look like someone went to the "Create-A-Team" option in MLB The Show and just started choosing their favorite players.
From Mookie Betts to Freddie Freeman to Shohei Ohtani, the lineup is stifling with talent, and the rotation is also full of stars such as Tyler Glasnow and a new acquisition from the offseason last year, Blake Snell.
And as Snell preps for his first playoff game with the team, it's safe to say that he's knows exactly the reason that he is here.
"I Wanted To Challenge Myself Personally"
In an interview with Sonja Chen of MLB.com, Snell seem to boost his intensity as he prepped for his first postseason start as a Dodger against the Cincinnati Reds Tuesday.
"The whole reason I came here was to pitch in October," Snell said. "To challenge myself personally. To face the best when the stakes are the highest, that’s what I’ve always wanted. I couldn’t be more excited to be in this position."
Snell only started 11 games in 2025 after shoulder inflammation left in on the shelf for four months, but in his starts, he was still the two-time Cy Young Award winner that Dodger fans knew they were getting, a 2.35 ERA and 72 strikeouts in 61.1 innings pitched.
And the last time he pitched against the Reds, it resulted in the southpaw's first career no-hitter back in 2024 when he was with the San Francisco Giants.
