Who will win the Masters 26? Latest betting odds, favourite to win and predictions for next year's first major at Augusta image

The 2025 Ryder Cup might just have taken place but already eyes have turned towards the 2026 Masters at Augusta National.

Europe took home the famous trophy in stunning fashion on US soil which will only make Augusta even more exciting next year with World No.1 Scottie Scheffler and defending champion Rory McIlroy going head to head once again.

McIlroy ending his career-long wait for the iconic green jacket and completing a career grand slam was one of the best sporting moments in recent memory so let's hope for more magic next April.

Here is a full breakdown of the bookmakers' favourites, the current betting and our early prediction for the winner of the 2026 Masters.

Masters 2026 Betting odds

The early odds are already out for Augusta with the usual suspects at the top of the betting leaderboard. Interestingly, the top 10 in the betting features five from Europe's victorious Ryder Cup team and five from Keegan Bradley's beaten USA side.

Who is the favourite to win the Masters 26?

Scottie Scheffler is the bookmakers' favourite (4/1 bet365) to regain the Masters title he last won in 2024. The 29-year-old finished three shots back in 2025 as McIlroy finally claimed the career Grand Slam. Unsurprisingly, it is Scheffler and McIlroy atop the betting boards for 2026 - in fact, they are the only two players with a single figure odds at best price.

Scottie Scheffler odds to win the Masters

The World No.1 is unsurprisingly the strong favourite currently to win the 2026 Masters at 4/1 with Bet365. Scheffler has won the Masters twice in recent years (2022 and 2024) and lifted both the PGA Championship and The Open in 2025 and looks a good bet to claim a third green jacket next year.

Despite the US losing the Ryder Cup, the 29-year-old did beat Rory McIlroy in the Sunday singles and could have the mental edge come next April.

Rory McIlroy odds to win the Masters

McIlroy lost to Scheffler in the singles but once again was a star man for Europe, winning 3.5 points from his five games.

In addition to that, he is the current defending champion of the Masters and also lifted the Irish Open on home soil this year.

After a career-best and defining year, could 2026 somehow be even better for the Northern Irishman? He is currently best priced 8/1 with Sky Bet

Will Tiger play the 26 Masters?

To many the greatest to ever swing a club, Tiger Woods has won five green jackets with his most recent coming in 2019 on another Sunday for the ages.

However, the 49-year-old has not played a competitive event since The Open in July 2024 and has since undergone back surgery and suffered a ruptured achilles tendon.

The second injury ruled him out of the Ryder Cup while he also declined the captaincy and no timeline has been set for his return.

With close to half a year between now and the Masters, it does seem likely Tiger will be back as he looks to win his sixth green jacket and tie Jack Nicklaus' record.

Punters can currently find him at best-priced 150/1 with BetVictor

When is the 2026 Masters?

The 2026 Masters will take place from Thursday April, 9 to Sunday April, 12 at the one and only Augusta National Golf Club in Augusta, Georgia.

Who won the 2025 Masters?

As mentioned, Rory McIlroy won the 2025 Masters in the most dramatic fashion to complete his long-awaited career grand slam.

The Northern Irishman had not won a major for 11 long years and was forced into a playoff against Justin Rose before winning with a nerveless birdie to spark wild scenes in what was one of the great sporting moments in recent memory.

Masters 2026 prediction: Who will win?

While it's incredibly early to be making predictions, it's safe to say Scheffler and McIlroy will be the frontrunners come April and many people's pick to win the green jacket.

It might be the one of the strongest fields in golf history though and there's countless players who will be in with a shout from both sides of the Atlantic. Bryson DeChambeau, Ludvig Aberg and previous winner Jon Rahm will all fancy their chances.

Outside of the top five favourites currently, Justin Rose - a three time runner-up at Augusta - is our tip to make another push as he continues his late-career prime.

If we were forced to pick a winner right now, Rory McIlroy should be playing without any fear and that is a scary prospect for the rest of the tour.
