The inaugural DP World India Championship tees off this weekend from Delhi Golf Club in the capital city of New Delbi. The tournament carries a $4 million purse and a star-studded field, including Ryder Cup stars Rory McIlroy, Tommy Fleetwood and Viktor Hovland.
The winner of the first-ever India Championship will win $680,000, as well as the breathtaking Lotus Trophy. Handcrafted in crystal and inspired by India’s timeless heritage, the trophy displays the Taj Mahal and the lotus flower, two of the nation's symbols, and it "radiates purity, balance and triumph."
Which golfer will add the Lotus Trophy to his trophy case? We won't find out until Sunday, but we can make some educated guesses ahead of Thursday's opening round. We will do that below, with our best bet to win, top value pick and favourite long-shot wager.
Let's have a look at the betting odds for the 2025 DP World India Championship in New Delhi, then let betting expert Sloan Piva outline his picks and predictions for the inaugural event.

DP World India Championship best bet to win
Odds correct at start of tournament. Click links below to bet.
Tommy Fleetwood
Fleetwood has been hotter than Rajasthan in June. He has four top-five finishes over his past eight tournaments, including his maiden PGA victory at the 2025 Tour Championship. His accuracy off the tee and stellar short game should play well this weekend at Delhi Golf Club (DGC), where he has some experience.
The best part about Fleetwood is his versatility and his even-keeled demeanor. He has performed well all over the world, always seeming composed and able to adapt to the course at hand. With solid intangibles on top of his stellar driver, wedge and putter, it's hard to pick anyone else above the world No. 5-ranked golfer.

DP World India Championship top value bet
Brian Harman
Harman has the all-around skill set needed to master this course, and yet he's yielding very generous outright odds on just about every major UK market. This seems like a clear smash bet, as the 2023 Open Championship winner has a solid track record of winning abroad.
If the Georgian has it all put together this weekend, he can easily make a run at the Lotus Trophy. He's a good ball-striker, a dependable putter and a strong approach game, so he should be ready to come out firing at the DGC. Consider him 22-to-1 to win or 10/11 to finish in the top 20.
DP World India Championship top long-shot bet
Shubhankar Sharma
250/1 outright on BetVictor or 18/1 to finish top 10 on AK Bets
Sharma has very good of late, cashing in each of his past two tournaments. He seems to finally be displaying the all-around ability golf fans had come to expect from him when he went pro a little over a decade ago. Now he can win a title (and a sweet, sweet payday in his home country.
The Jhansi native does a lot of things well, including ball striking, approach shots and putting. He has made the cut in three of his past five tournaments and finished in the top 10 once. Over his pro career, he has racked up eight wins, and he could flirt with No. 9 in New Delhi this weekend.
