Red Bull Racing have confirmed that Christian Horner has officially departed the team after 20 years.

The former CEO and team boss was sacked from the team on July 9, after the British Grand Prix.

The Milton Keynes-based team suffered a dip in results at the start of the year, and lost out on the 2024 Constructors title to McLaren.

This was said to be the motivation behind Horner's sacking, however many have pointed to things taking a turn after allegations of sexual misconduct were brought against the executive in February 2024.

It led to a lot of unrest in the team, with key personnel departing for new ventures - most notably, engineer extraordinaire Adrian Newey, who moved to Aston Martin.

Since July, Horner has been on gardening leave at Red Bull as negotiations of severance package were made.

It's reported the 51-year-old has received an £80 million pay-out.

Rumours now circulated on Horner making a return to the F1 paddock for another team.

In a statement released by Red Bull, he said:

“Leading Red Bull Racing has been an honour and privilege. When we started in 2005, none of us could have imagined the journey ahead — the championships, the races, the people, the memories.

"I’m incredibly proud of what we achieved as a team breaking records and reaching heights no-one would ever believe were possible and I will forever carry that with me."
