Max Verstappen sealed the third consecutive World Drivers' Championship title of his F1 career on Saturday as he finished P2 in the Sprint race behind McLaren's Oscar Piastri.

After his Mexican teammate Sergio Perez crashed out following a collision with Esteban Ocon and Nico Hulkenberg, the Dutchman strolled home to seal another crown as he joins some of the sport's most famous drivers on three world titles, including Ayrton Senna and Jackie Stewart amongst others.

Starting from pole position, he'll now look to put the cherry on top of the cake during the 2023 Qatar Grand Prix on Sunday by claiming an astonishing 14th win of the season.

But lately we've seen the chasing pack get stronger and stronger, most clearly seen with Carlos Sainz's wins for Ferrari in Singapore a few races back.

McLaren also showcased their every improving car last time out at Suzuka as Lando Norris claimed P2 and fellow teammate and rookie Oscar Piastri finished in the podium spots for the first time in his career.

There's also plenty to play for for Mercedes and Aston Martin who will be desperate to continue to add points onto the board as they look to finish as high up as possible in 2023 in the constructors' standings.
