Slaven Bilic has had notable spells managing West Ham United, West Bromwich Albion, and Watford, but his story in English football might not be over just yet.

Bilic's love affair with football in England began during his playing days when he represented West Ham and Everton

His tenure as West Ham manager was notable as he oversaw the club's move from Upton Park to the London Stadium.

The Croatian also had success with West Brom, with whom he achieved promotion to the Premier League

Watford, who are known for their hiring and firing of managers, was his last job in England. He has since managed Al Fateh in the Saudi Pro League, but could be set for a return to the Premier League.

According to talkSPORT, "Bilic is a contender to make a stunning return to West Ham if Graham Potter is fired."

Potter is under huge pressure with 18th in the Premier League and facing a relegation battle.

There is unrest among the supporters who are planning protests against the club's hierarchy. This could be why the board would want to turn to Bilic.

Appointing a club legend is one way to get fans onside. Bilic would be able to galvanise West Ham in a relegation fight.

He achieved great success with West Ham in their final season at Upton Park, as he took them to a seventh-place finish.

It was always going to be difficult for Bilic to settle West Ham into the London Stadium, especially with the departure of star player Dimitri Payet.

The Hammers have still not been able to make the London Stadium feel like their home, but Bilic could generate a feel-good factor back at West Ham.
