It looked like Michail Antonio's career was over when he suffered injuries in a car accident last year. However, the former West Ham United player has bounced back.

He featured for Jamaica at the Gold Cup over the summer and this season has played for West Ham U21 in Premier League 2.

Antonio is no longer with West Ham, but is reportedly training with a rival Premier League team.

According to ExWHUEmployee, "He seems to be currently training with Brentford with a view to earning a contract there."

Would Michail Antonio be a good fit for Brentford?

There were concerns that Brentford would struggle this season with Thomas Frank leaving the club for Tottenham Hotspur

However, Frank's set-piece coach, Keith Andrews, has done a good job since taking charge.

The Bees are currently 16th in the Premier League, but have beaten Manchester United and drawn with Chelsea

Brentford does need a new striker, with Yoane Wissa leaving the club for Newcastle United last summer.

Andrews' only senior center-forward is Igor Thiago. The Brazilian has had a great start to the season, scoring four goals in seven Premier League games.

If Antonio can prove his fitness at Brentford, then he could become a solid option for Andrews.
