Christian Pulisic left Chelsea in 2023 and has since flourished at AC Milan, but could be on his way back to the Premier League

The American burst onto the scene at Borussia Dortmund before sealing a reported £58 million transfer to Chelsea.

He won the Champions League with the Blues, but struggled for game time in the latter stages of his time in London.

Milan is where he has rekindled his career, even though they failed to qualify for Europe last season.

This campaign has started brightly for Pulisic; he has scored four goals with two assists in five Serie A games as Milan sits top of the division.

His contract with the club expires in 2027, and Milan is keen to extend his deal. However, Pulisic has stalled in committing his future to the club.

Could Christian Pulisic return to the Premier League?

According to Fichajes (translated from Spanish), "The winger's performance has not gone unnoticed in England. West Ham is willing to spend up to €50 million to sign the player in the next transfer window."

It seems unlikely that a player would want to swap competing for the Serie A title with fighting relegation with West Ham United.

However, the Premier League is a far greater division than Italy's top flight. Also, Pulisic has a point to prove in England after failing to make the grade at Chelsea.

Joining West Ham in January may not be the best time for Pulisic due to the 2026 World Cup happening at the end of the campaign.

Pulisic is still the United States' star player, and there is huge pressure for him to perform at the tournament his country is co-hosting.

He is on form with Milan, and swapping that for a struggling Premier League side could unsettle his form ahead of the World Cup.
