Tottenham are expected to be busy in the final weeks of the Premier League transfer window.

With Thomas Frank working towards a September 1 deadline to bring in new players, the Danish coach will need act fast, following James Maddison's injury.

England international Maddison will be out until 2026 after suffering ACL damage in preseason and Frank is on the hunt for options to bolster his attack.

Despite already landing Mathys Tel on a permanent deal, and bringing in Mohammed Kudus from West Ham United, Maddison's absence and Son Heung-min's move to Los Angeles has left Frank light in certain areas.

As per reports from BBC Sport, Manchester City winger Savinho is now on Frank's radar, after a low-key first season at the Etihad Stadium.

The Brazil international was signed from City's sister club Girona last summer, on the back of scoring nine La Liga goals and laying on 10 assists, as they clinched UEFA Champions League qualification for the first time.

However, he played a bit-part role for Pep Guardiola in 2025/26, with just one top-flight goal from 21 starts, and he could be offloaded as City look to trim their squad.

Guardiola has frequently bemoaned having 'too many players' at his disposal and the Catalan coach could sanction a string of exits before September.

Pep Guardiola and Jack Grealish

Jack Grealish is closing in on a season-long loan at Everton and the arrival of Rayan Cherki could impact both his and Savinho's starting chances.

The 21-year-old is under contract in Manchester until 2029, so a loan exit could also be an option in this case, with Spurs unlikely to pay his £50m valuation.

Tottenham kick off their 2025/26 campaign at home to newly-promoted Burnley on August 16 before a trip to thee Etihad on August 23.
