Sergio Reguilon left Tottenham Hotspur at the end of last season, but has bided his time in finding a new club.

He has been linked with other Premier League clubs and La Liga clubs, but it appears his time in Europe has come to an end.

Reguilon is only 28, but in recent seasons has not been able to settle anywhere. Spurs have sent him on loan to Atletico Madrid, Manchester United, and Brentford

The defender can be proud of his career in Europe, where he also represented Real Madrid and earned six caps for Spain.

Now, Reguilon is set for a new challenge in MLS. Fabrizio Romano posted on X: "Inter Miami in talks for surprise move to sign Sergio Reguilón!

"Negotiations well underway to join MLS side on free transfer after leaving Spurs in July. Reguilón, expected to accept as he see Inter Miami as best option despite multiple proposals on the table."

Sergio Reguilon would be joining some big names at Inter Miami

Inter Miami have become the star team in MLS, as they have Lionel Messi, Sergio Busquets, and Jordi Alba.

However, this star-studded team will be seen as a failure if they do not win MLS Cup.

Messi, Busquets, and Alba are not getting any younger and could do with an experienced but still relatively young player such as Reguilon.

It will be interesting to see how Javier Mascherano will fit both Alba and Reguilon into the same team. Both are predominantly left-backs, but they can also both play left midfield.
