Real Madrid veteran defender set for spell on sidelines with new injury image

Real Madrid have several players who remain sidelined through injury, including Jude Bellingham and Eduardo Camavinga.

Xabi Alonso's side is preparing to take on Real Sociedad in their first match back from the international break.

In Real's latest injury report, the club added a new name to the report, with Antonio Rudiger now facing a left leg injury.

How long could Rudiger be out for?

Real's medical report confirmed the club is waiting for "further development."

Other reports state that Rudiger could be out for at least two months, meaning the German will miss a good chunk of games.

Rudiger will miss the weekend's match against Real Sociedad, and he will also miss Real's first Champions League match against Marseille.

Looking further into the schedule, it is likely that the defender will be out for the Madrid derby.

Rudiger is also in danger of missing El Clasico and Real's Champions League clash against Liverpool.

The good news for Real: Dean Huijsen and Eder Militao are both fit, with David Alaba and Raul Asencio ready as substitutes.
