Real Madrid are unlikely to bring in any more new faces before the La Liga summer transfer window closes on September 1.

Los Blancos have focused on defence as part of Xabi Alonso's squad refit with Trent Alexander-Arnold, Dean Huijsen and Alvaro Carreras all landing in the Spanish capital.

Franco Mastantuono will join officially when he turns 18 on August 14 and Alonso looks happy with his business so far in the market.

Rodrygo Goes remains linked with a possible exit as Tottenham emerge as a shock candidate for the former Santos star following the departure of captain Son Heung-min to MLS side Los Angeles FC.

However, one Brazilian who looks set to stay in Madrid is Endrick Felipe, after a firm future call made by Alonso.

Despite previous reports indicating only one of himself and Gonzalo Garcia would remain - with the other loaned out for the 2025/26 season - Garcia is now on the verge of a contract extension.

The latest from Marca claims Alonso is ready to stick by Endrick, despite his injury issues, and a lack of prominence in his debut 2023/24 season under Carlo Ancelotti.

The 19-year-old scored his one and only La Liga goal on his debut off the bench against Real Valladolid in August, but he went on to make just three league starts with Ancelotti.

He missed the FIFA Club World Cup due to injury, but Alonso is confident he will be back in full training from September 8, with the majority of the squad away on international duty.

The challenge now for Endrick is to convince Alonso he's worthy of a more regular starting slot with his first appearance of the campaign pencilled in as away at Real Sociedad on September 14.

Real Madrid kick off the 2025/26 campaign at home to Osasuna on August 19 followed by clashes with Real Oviedo (A) on August 24 and Mallorca (H) on August 30 - before the September international break.
