Yoane Wissa was pictured in team training with Brentford as the impasse surrounding his potential move to Newcastle United continues.
Wissa has made no secret of his desire to join Newcastle and play Champions League football this season. However, the Bees, having already lost Bryan Mbuemo to Manchester United, are reluctant to allow him to leave.
The DR Congo international's frustration saw him take the step of deleting all references to Brentford from his Instagram profile this week.
But, after Brentford reportedly rejected a second offer from Newcastle worth £35million plus £5m in add-ons, the club posted a clip of Wissa in training to their Instagram page on Thursday.
And Brentford's defiant stance on Wissa may lead Newcastle to look elsewhere, with reports suggesting the Magpies are pushing to sign a striker from another club who, like Brentford, made a poor start to the new Premier League season.
Newcastle linked with Strand Larsen
Reports in the Midlands claim Newcastle are pressing ahead with a potential £60million move for Wolves striker Jorgen Strand Larsen.

The Norwegian made his loan move from Celta Vigo to Molineux permanent last month following an impressive first Premier League season.
Strand-Larsen scored 14 goals for Wolves in 2024/25, helping ensure their Premier League survival.
Wolves were beaten 4-0 by Manchester City last Saturday while Brentford lost 3-1 to Nottingham Forest in their opener.
Those results for two teams considered among the relegation candidates will likely harden their resolve to keep hold of their respective strikers.
Still, with Newcastle desperate for at least once striker amid the ongoing saga surrounding Alexander Isak, both Brentford and Wolves could come under pressure in the final days of the transfer window to sell players likely to be key to their seasons.
