Wolves simply must win at Molineux tonight against fellow Midlands outfit Nottingham Forest if they are to mount a survival bid after Christmas.

Following the sacking of Vitor Pereira, Wolves head into this match on the back of a 2-0 loss at home to a Crystal Palace and a 1-0 defeat to Aston Villa to start the Rob Edwards era.

Nottingham Forest have been much-improved under the management of Sean Dyche, who became their third manager of the campaign after the sackings of Nuno Espirito Santo and Ange Postecoglou. However, Forest were beaten 2-0 by Brighton and Hove Albion at the City Ground at the weekend.

AllSportsPeople brings you the latest tips and predictions for this clash in the Premier League, as well as how to claim 50/1 odds and a £10 Ashes free bet for just a single goal scored in Man United vs. West Ham on Thursday night.

Wolverhampton Wanderers vs. Nottingham Forest prediction: Who will win today?

Rob Edwards’ style of football has evolved to become quite defensive during his time with Luton Town, Middlesbrough and now with Wolves, compared with the fluent and attacking style he preached with Forest Green Rovers in League Two.

Sean Dyche’s Forest returned from the November international break with 3-0 wins against Liverpool and Malmo as they exploited teams in their own versions of a crisis. Forest face another so-called ‘crisis club’ and should come out on top, but it may not be a thriller for the neutral.

Head-to-Head Record: Wolves vs Nottingham Forest

  • The two sides most recently faced off against each other in January 2025 with Forest, approaching the status of title challengers, winning 3-0 at Molineux.
  • That result came on the back of four successive draws between the two sides and does now mean that Forest are unbeaten in six matches against Wolves.
  • Overall, the two teams have clashed on 139 matches with Nottingham Forest winning 46 of those and Wolves coming out on top on 63 occasions.

Wolves vs. Nottingham Forest Final Score Prediction

Wolves look extremely limited in attack following a fairly tough summer transfer window and their struggles have continued under new boss Rob Edwards, albeit they did create a few openings against Villa at the weekend and had a contentious 'goal' ruled out for offside.

They should finally get themselves on the scoresheet at Molineux once again this week but Forest have to remain favourites to expose the hosts’ glaring issues at both ends of the pitch.

Prediction: Wolves 1-2 Nottingham Forest (9/1 with Bet365)
