The FA Cup — football's oldest existing competition — will reach its 2021-22 conclusion on May 14 as Chelsea host Liverpool in the final at Wembley.
Liverpool will be favourites to win their eighth FA Cup trophy, while Chelsea can go level with the Reds on seven triumphs with their own victory.

Which team has reached the most FA Cup finals?
Arsenal has featured in the FA Cup final more than any other English team — playing in the decider 21 times and winning the cup on 14 occasions.
The Gunners have been particularly strong in the competition in recent years, lifting the cup four times in the last eight editions between 2013-21.
Manchester United are the next most successful team in the FA Cup — playing in 20 finals for 12 victories.

What is Chelsea and Liverpool's recent record in the FA Cup?
Despite Liverpool's recent success in the Premier League and Champions League, the Reds haven't won an FA Cup since they defeated West Ham on penalties in 2005-06 in the last final held at Millennium Stadium (while Wembley was undergoing renovations).
They have featured in the final since their last title victory — against Chelsea in 2011-12 — but were defeated 2-1 at Wembley.
Chelsea have enjoyed most of their FA Cup success during the Roman Abramovich era, featuring in eight finals and winning five since the Russian billionaire purchased the club in 2003.
The Blues have been in four of the last five FA Cup finals, but have only won one of them — a 2017 victory against Manchester United.
The 2022 final against Liverpool will be Chelsea's third consecutive trip to the final and they will be hoping to go one better than the losses to Leicester City (2020-21) and Arsenal (2019-20).
