The UEFA Women’s Euro 2025 is here to entertain us this summer, running from July 2 through to the grand finale on July 27. Sixteen of Europe’s elite national squads will descend on Switzerland, the tournament’s host, with matches staged across the country in a month-long pursuit of continental glory.

As anticipation builds, all roads lead to Basel, where the coveted trophy will be lifted. But before the final whistle blows, the battle begins in the group stage, and only the strongest will survive.

England, the reigning champions from 2022, enter the competition with hopes of a successful title defence. However, it's Spain, fresh off their triumphs at the FIFA Women’s World Cup and the UEFA Nations League, who come in as the team to beat, widely tipped as favourites to lift silverware once again.

The Sporting News looks at the key fixture details about Women's Euro 2025 and how to follow the matches.

UK viewers won’t miss a moment of the action from the UEFA Women’s Euro 2025, with the BBC and ITV once again teaming up to deliver full coverage of the tournament, just as they do for all the major international football competitions.

Every match will be available to stream live via BBC iPlayer and ITVX, giving fans round-the-clock access online. As for the biggest fixtures, they’ll also be shown on traditional TV channels such as BBC One, BBC Two, ITV1, and ITV4.

For fans of the home nations, ITV has secured two of England’s headline group-stage games: the opening clash with France on July 5, and the much-anticipated showdown with Wales on July 13. Meanwhile, the BBC will air the Lionesses’ second group-stage matchup against the Netherlands on July 9.

Details for the knockout stages, including the quarterfinals and semifinals, are still to be announced, but one thing is already confirmed: no matter who reaches the final, both ITV and the BBC will air the Women’s Euro 2025 final live.
