The Carabao Cup, widely recognized as the EFL Cup or simply the League Cup, enters its 65th edition in the 2025-26 campaign, with silverware, pride, and European football opportunity all on the line.

Beyond the prize money and the chance to etch their name into English football's rich history, the eventual champions will also book a spot in the playoff round of next season's Europa Conference League.

This year's Carabao Cup carries no shortage of storylines, with both Manchester City and Arsenal among the betting favourites and determined to make amends after ending last season without a trophy, the Carabao Cup offers an early shot at redemption.

Standing in their way, however, are holders Newcastle United, eager to hang on to their silverware. But could this be the year a fresh contender rises to steal the spotlight?

EFL Carabao Cup live streams, TV channels in the UK

In the UK, live coverage of the Carabao Cup (previously known as the EFL Cup and historically the League Cup) is shared between Sky Sports and ITV.

Sky Sports+ will broadcast every fixture of the 2025/26 edition, starting from the opening round right through to the Wembley final.

Meanwhile, ITV will provide free-to-air access by simulcasting at least one clash from each stage of the competition, including the showpiece finale. 

Matches are typically available to stream live on select Tuesdays and Wednesdays at 7:45 p.m. BST when the competition is being played.
