Thomas Tuchel voiced his frustrations with the England supporters after his side cruised to a 3-0 friendly win over Wales on Thursday night (October 9).

The Three Lions wasted no time in displaying superiority over their fellow home nation, as the team found the net three times within the opening 20 minutes at Wembley Stadium.

Aston Villa duo Morgan Rogers and Ollie Watkins both got on the scoresheet before Arsenal's Bukayo Saka put the game out of reach for Craig Bellamy's side with an emphatic strike after cutting in on his favoured left-foot.

The sharp and dynamic start Tuchel's men got off to would have given the England fans in attendance something exciting to witness in comparison to a majority of friendlies that can be less enthralling.

However, the England boss was not satisfied with the atmosphere created at Wembley Stadium from The Three Lions supporters based on the high level shown from his players, and made this clear.

"The stadium was silent. We didn't get any energy back from the stands," he told ITV Sport.

When the 52-year-old was asked whether the England fans should have voiced more support, he simply replied: "Yes. What more can you give in 20 minutes? We didn't let them escape."

"If you hear just Wales fans for half an hour, it's sad because the team deserved more support today," he added.

When the England manager was asked about his comments in his post-match news conference, he was quick to praise the passion English football fans typically display.

"We will have top support in Latvia, we had excellent support in Serbia. I said it and I meant it."

"I love English football fans and the support that they give. The atmosphere did not match the performance on the field today."

As Tuchel mentioned, England are likely to have good support when the team travels to take on Latvia in Tuesday's (October 14) World Cup qualifier in Riga.
