Swansea vs. Wrexham prediction, lineups, odds, TV and bet builder tips for this Friday night Championship clash image

Swansea City take on Wrexham in a Welsh derby in the Championship tonight.

After a slow start to the season under the management of Alan Sheehan, Swansea have improved following the appointment of former Maritimo boss Vitor Matos. However, they did suffer a 2-1 loss to Stoke City at the Bet365 Stadium last weekend.

Following promotion from League One, Wrexham  also started the season poorly but have started to turn things around of late. Phil Parkinson has steadied the ship but victories have remained hard to come by, with just six wins in their 21 second-tier matches.

Who will win the Welsh derby? AllSportsPeople brings you all the latest tips and odds for this Championship clash. It should be a fiery precursor to tonight's main event for UK sports fans - we've got you covered for Jake Paul vs. Anthony Joshua!

Swansea City vs. Wrexham Prediction: Who Will Win?

Swansea began the Matos era with back-to-back victories at home against Oxford United and Portsmouth, two struggling sides.

Now that they face a Wrexham side difficult to play against - having lost just five times this season - it could be a lot tougher for the Jacks.

A low-scoring encounter appears likely and it could well also be quite a tense, nervy affair between two seemingly evenly matched sides. We're going for a goalless draw!

Score Prediction: Swansea 0-0 Wrexham (8/1 with Sky Bet)

Head-to-Head: Swansea vs. Wrexham

  • The most recent derby between Swansea and Wrexham came all the way back in March 2003, as the two sides shared a goalless draw in Division Three.
  • That result actually means that the Red Dragons are, surprisingly, unbeaten in nine matches against the Swans ahead of their first clash in over 20 years.
  • Overall, the two sides have clashed on 31 occasions with Wrexham coming out on top in 16 of those games and Swansea managing to win just eight.

Swansea vs. Wrexham Betting Tips

Swansea and Wrexham haven’t played each other since 2003 and yet there is still expected to be a lot of aggression on show, especially from the stands as the two sets of supporters do battle.

As a result, it should be a game that is quite intense and aggressive. Over 4.5 cards in the game (6/4 with Paddy Power) looks a value bet.
