Son Heung-min will play in a protective face mask again when South Korea take on Ghana, and there was good news for his team in defence.

Kim Min-jae, whose performances have helped Napoli lead Serie A and qualify for the Champions League knockout stage, picked up an injury in his nation's opening 0-0 draw with Uruguay at the 2022 World Cup.

The centre-back was ready to start as both sides made changes from their first group stage games.

Below are the confirmed lineups for both teams.

South Korea vs. Ghana lineups

South Korea coach Paulo Bento wants his team to bring the best out of Son after the Tottenham Hotspur attacker failed to find his range against Uruguay, with the two-time champions having the only shot on target of the game.

"He was adapting and trying to feel comfortable with the face mask," explained Bento. "First, he needed to feel at ease with his teammates and afterwards with the opponents. The second game will be different.

"He has already been able to play throughout the 90 minutes and as a team, we need to do our best so that we can take advantage of his skills.

"We know it will be a difficult game. We need to be up to the task such as we were in the first game and we expect that we will have better performances both individually and collectively."

Despite having Portugal in their third group game, Bento has played down the need for three points against Ghana.

"I feel no pressure whatsoever and I would love our players to feel the way I do, but I know they come from a different culture," said the Portuguese. "We also deal with the pressure in different ways."

Ghana coach Otto Addo hinted that he could make changes by praising his team for "making it difficult for me to make decisions" because they have been training well.

"We will see a very passionate team," he predicted of his players. "We will see the passion we saw in the last match against Portugal.

"I am happy to have a team which is willing to learn and work hard every day to get better. We have a lot of respect for South Korea, but we know we can compete with them."
