Ruben Amorim has reacted to Sir Jim Ratcliffe's backing of him for three-years as head coach of Manchester United.
The INEOS boss spoke to The Times' "The Business" Podcast cast where he spoke candidly about all happenings at Old Trafford.
His biggest revelation was that he backs Amorim for at least three years to prove that he is a "great coach".
Manchester United's next task following the international break is a trip to Anfield to face reigning champions Liverpool.
Speaking ahead of that game, Amorim was asked about Ratcliffe's comments.
"He tells me all the time. Sometimes with a message after games. You know, I know, Jim knows that football is not like that."
"The most important thing is the next game. You cannot control the next day in football."
"I know that, but it is really good to hear that. Also because of the noise. But he tells me and Omar Berrada and Jason Wilcox tell me that all the time."
Amorim was then asked if the positive reinforcement helps quiet the noise and pressure.
"First of all I can feel it. I feel it every day. Sometimes the pressure I put on myself and the team is so much bigger than [what they put on us]", he said.
"I know it is going take a while, but I don’t want to think like that. I said that last year."
"It is really good to hear that. I think it helps our fans to understand that the leadership understands that it is going to take a while."
Despite that Amorim says he doesn't enjoy acknowledging it's going to take time as he doesn't believe the club deserves that feeling.
He went on to acknowledge the best way to reassure fans is to win big games every week.

Amorim unsure of when United will reach Liverpool's level
The Red Devils have the big task of heading to Anfield on Sunday October 19 to face reigning champions Liverpool.
Despite the low probability of them winning it, they can go in with a sliver of hope after Liverpool's recent downturn in performance.
They've faced three defeats on the trot - Crystal Palace and Chelsea in the Premier League and Galatasaray in the Champions League.
It'll be a landmark game on Sunday, as The Red Devils will meet their archrivals for the 100th time in the League.
The last time Amorim lead United at Anfield, they came away with a point in a 2-2 draw, which could provide some confidence.
However the United boss thinks it will take time to reach Liverpool's level.
"I don’t know. Sometimes things change really fast."
"We can win any game, so if we think just about the next game, that is the most important thing and we can win the next game."
"We are going to fight to be at the same level as Liverpool in the future, that is the idea. I don’t know how long that is going to take."
The side will go to Anfield with a full fit squad, apart from Lisandro Martinez and Noussair Mazraoui who remain out on injury.
