Alan Sheehan is expected to lose his job as Swansea manager having managed just four league wins from the club's opening 15 matches of the Championship season.
It is the lowest return for the Swans since they were relegated from the Premier League in 2018.
The final straw was Saturday's 4-1 loss to Ipswich Town, which left them 18th in the table - seven points above the bottom three and eight adrift of the playoff places.
Sheehan has had two stints as the club's interim boss before taking the role permanently in April of this year following the departure of Luke Williams. In total, he has won 16 of his 39 matches as Swansea manager (41.03%)

Who is the favourite to be next Swansea manager?
The bookmakers' favourite to become the next Swansea manager is Michael Carrick, given a 20% chance at current 4/1 odds on BetVictor. The Man United legend has been out of managerial work since being sacked by Middlesbrough after a 10th place finish last season. His only other experience came in a three-match spell as Man United interim manager (2W 1D).
Who are the other contenders to replace Alan Sheehan?
The managerial merry-go-round is in full swing, with the recently deposed Celtic manager Brendan Rodgers another key contender at 6/1 - matched odds with Gary O'Neil.
Both remain linked with the newly vacant position at Middlesbrough after Rob Edwards jumped ship for the big time. Ironically, Edwards was approached by Wolves after O'Neil dropped out of talks over a stunning return, while Rodgers was the favourite when news of Vitor Pereira's sacking first broke.
The next two in the market are Russell Martin - sacked last month by Rangers - and Steven Gerrard, the Ibrox club's preferred replacement for Martin before he dropped out and they had to settle instead for Danny Rohl. Completing the merry-go-round is the 6th favourite in the market, Will Still, sacked by Southampton just last week.
Why will Sheehan be sacked by Swansea?
Sheehan secured the permanent job towards the end of the 2024/25 season having led Swansea to five consecutive wins, the club's longest league winning run since 2007. However, things have not continued in the same vein. They have won just four of 15 league matches in 2025/26.
His side have been defensively solid on the road - only Stoke have conceded fewer goals away from home - but short of ideas in attack, scoring just 15 times.
