Wilfried Nancy has been sacked by Celtic, following Man United's Ruben Amorim through the exit door on a massive day of managerial movement in the UK.
The 48-year-old was given just eight matches in charge at Parkhead, incredibly losing six of them after interim manager Martin O'Neill had won seven of his eight in interim charge.
The big story will be whether Celtic, who have also removed Paul Tisdale from his position as head of football operations, will summon O'Neill for a third stint.

Who will be the next Celtic manager?
Martin O'Neill is, unsurprisingly, the bookmakers' favourite to reprise the role he held on an interim basis for just over five weeks from when Brendan Rodgers left through to the start of December when the Major League Soccer (MLS) season ended and Nancy took charge.

Why is O'Neill the favourite to replace Nancy?
Martin O'Neill was already a club hero from his first spell in charge between June 2000 and May 2005, winning three Scottish Premier Leagues, three Scottish Cups and a Scottish League Cup.
He cemented that legacy by winning seven of his eight matches in charge during his interim spell this season between Brendan Rodgers and Wilfried Nancy.

Why was Nancy sacked by Celtic?
Wilfried Nancy was sacked after winning just two of his eight games in charge, losing the other six for an overall win percentage of just 25%.
His side scored 11 goals, conceding 18, as he collected a raft of unwanted records including becoming the first Celtic manager to lose his first two games in charge and the fist to lose four in a row since 1978. The only two wins of his ill-fated spell lasting just 32 days came against Aberdeen and Livingston.

Other contenders to replace Nancy at Celtic
Outside of the obvious market favourite in O'Neill, Shaun Maloney holds the shortest price at 7/4 with one UK bookmaker, while Ange Postecoglou and Frank Lampard are also in the running.
Surely, Lampard won't jump ship with Coventry six points clear in the Championship, while Ange feels like an outside bet (despite his short odds) to manage his third club in just seven months!
