Yoane Wissa has unfollowed Brentford on social media as they continue to refuse to sanction a move to Newcastle United.
Wissa did not feature as Brentford opened their Premier League campaign with a dispiriting 3-1 defeat to Nottingham Forest, which served as a hugely underwhelming start for new manager Keith Andrews.
Newcastle are reported to have had one bid in the region of £30million for Wissa rejected by Brentford as they seek to sign two forwards in the final weeks of a transfer window that has seen Callum Wilson depart and Alexander Isak effectively go on strike in a bid to force a move to Liverpool.
Brentford completed a deal to sign Dango Outtara from Bournemouth on Saturday in a transfer that many believed would facilitate Wissa's move to St James' Park.
However, it is now reported that Brentford see Outtara as a replacement for Bryan Mbuemo, who joined Manchester United, and will now not entertain a sale of Wissa unless a valuation of around £60m is met.

Wissa makes his feelings clear
The change in stance from Brentford, who were previously thought to be ready to let Wissa leave after signing a forward, has clearly infuriated the DR Congo international.

Indeed, in addition to unfollowing the club on Instagram, Wissa has removed any references to Brentford from his page and removed all posts relating to the club. He has also deleted his profile picture.
Brentford's position is understandable, with the nature of their defeat at the City Ground suggesting they could be in for a fight to stay in the top flight.

Having scored 19 Premier League goals last season, Wissa would obviously be vital to Brentford's hopes of staying up if he did remain at the club.
But Wissa clearly has no desire to be a part of that fight as he seeks to take the opportunity to play Champions League football with Newcastle. With two weeks of the transfer window left, Wissa is a key domino that is still yet to fall.
