Matchday 3 of the 2025/26 UEFA Champions League throws up an intriguing contest at Stade Louis II, as Monaco take on Tottenham tonight.

The Monegasque spent the October international break replacing Adi Hutter with former Royale Union Saint-Gilloise boss Sebastian Pocognoli, who led Union SG to the Belgian Jupiler Pro League title last season.

Tottenham  head to Monaco on the back of some indifferent performances under the management of Thomas Frank and they suffered a 2-1 loss to Aston Villa in north London at the weekend.

AllSportsPeople brings you our betting preview  for this one, complete with the latest tips, predictions and odds.

Monaco vs. Tottenham: Who Will Win?

Monaco will be expected to get on the front foot once again but it will be fascinating to see whether there is a change to their style of football that was so engrained under Hutter, with his successor Pocognoli able to call on a very deep and attacking squad.

The Monegasque were good in a recent 2-2 draw against Manchester City and there may be some trepidation for Tottenham fans for this one, after they saw their side underwhelm at the weekend against Villa.

Spurs do head to Monaco as the slight favourites given Monaco’s changing of the guard but home advantage and the indifferent form of the visitors means it may not be straightforward.

Monaco vs. Tottenham Score Prediction

In their opening game of the Sebastian Pocognoli era, Monaco shared a 1-1 draw with a struggling Angers side and there were signs that it may take time for Pocognoli to get his side to gel.

Thomas Frank got results with his counter-attacking style at the start of the campaign but Spurs have drifted since then.

Neither side appear in the best position to take the game by the scruff of its neck and, as a result, a draw would appear the best value bet for this one.

Prediction: Monaco 1-1 Tottenham (6/1 with Paddy Power)

Monaco Team News

  • A new manager brings fresh ideas and Adi Hutter, known for his 4-2-2-2 system, has been swapped for a coach who favours a back three but went with 4-2-3-1 against Angers, with Mika Biereth getting the nod up-front.
  • Biereth was substituted for Folarin Balogun, who scored Monaco’s only goal at Stade Raymond Kopa, with Ansu Fati trusted in the No. 10 spot.
  • Paul Pogba is still not yet at match fitness but is moving closer to a debut while the likes of Lukas Hradecky, Lamine Camara, Denis Zakaria and Vanderson are out.

Tottenham Team News

  • Tottenham are dealing with plenty of key long-term injury absentees, including England international James Maddison and Sweden's Dejan Kulusevski.
  • The visitors were thought to be close to welcoming Dominic Solanke back but the former Bournemouth striker is believed to have suffered a minor setback.
  • There are also injury concerns over defensive duo Cristian Romero and Destiny Udogie, with the former likely to be unavailable until at least this weekend.
