Struggling Manchester United head coach Ruben Amorim is in near must-win situation when his side take on Chelsea in the Premier League at Old Trafford on Saturday.

Last Sunday's 3-0 loss in the Manchester derby was the latest low for United, who have won just won one of four league games this season and been dumped out of the Carabao Cup in shambolic fashion by Grimsby Town. To add to Amorim's potential woes, Alejandro Garnacho returns to Old Trafford this weekend with their fall-out fresh in the memory.

Garnacho is part of a Chelsea side that has had a disappointing week, with the last-gasp draw at Brentford being followed up by a humbling 3-1 loss to Bayern Munich in the Champions League. If Enzo Maresca is to mount a title challenge, these are the types of games he needs to win particularly with the Blues already four points off the pace.

The Sporting News has all the latest predictions, tips and odds ahead of this crunch clash, including a stunning 50/1 sign up offer for new customers with Paddy Power

Man United vs. Chelsea prediction

United could really do with a win but it's hard to back them right now. On the other side, Chelsea haven't won at Old Trafford in 12 years and are coming off a tough midweek in Europe. A draw seems the likeliest result here.

The Sporting News' score prediction

Man United 1-1 Chelsea

If you agree with our score prediction for the Saturday Night Football, it's worth having a look at Paddy Power's latest sign up offer - new customers can get 50/1 odds for over 0.5 goals.

This becomes an even better offer when you consider Chelsea (8.75) and United (8.29) are the top two for expected goals (xG) after the first four league matches. Liverpool, for example, sit on 6.85.

Man United vs. Chelsea team news

  • Senne Lammens could be in line for his United debut with Altay Bayinidr dropping out after a series of wayward displays.
  • Casemiro is likely to replace Manuel Ugarte with Kobbie Mainoo once again left on the bench.
  • Alejandro Garnacho could get the nod over Jamie Gittens and make his full Chelsea debut against the club he left just three weeks ago.
  • Matheus Cunha and Mason Mount have been passed fit to play but may not start.

Man Utd vs. Chelsea Bet Builder tips

Our bet builder for this one is a draw, both teams to score, United to have more corners and shots and Chelsea to have more cards. That is currently over 10/1 with Bet365.
