On paper, Liverpool head into this weekend on the back of an exceptional run of form. In reality, the Reds are still stumbling along as they welcome a stubborn Burnley side to Merseyside.

Arne Slot's side come into this one on the back of a relatively unconvincing 4-1 defeat of League One outfit Barnsley at Anfield on Monday — a win which extended their current unbeaten run to 11 matches across all competitions.

Burnley hammered Championship side Millwall 5-1 at Turf Moor in the third round of the FA Cup last week but the Clarets are winless in their last 12 matches in the Premier League, albeit their performances have been improving of late.

AllSportsPeople brings you all the latest tips and odds for this Saturday clash, and where to find the best betting value for the biggest game of the weekend - the Manchester derby at Old Trafford.

Liverpool vs. Burnley preview: Who will win?

We're siding with a narrow win for Arne Slot's Liverpool on Saturday afternoon.

The Dutch coach whinged about Liverpool having to play against teams adapting their game plan when facing his side last week, and now he will have to play against a Burnley team built simply to frustrate.

Scott Parker has suffered a 9-0 loss at Anfield in the past when in charge of Bournemouth but Burnley have been improving with three draws in their last five games. Liverpool are likely to come out on top but it is unlikely to be overly convincing once again.

Score Prediction: Liverpool 1-0 Burnley (8/1 with Bet365)

Liverpool vs. Burnley Betting Tips

We're looking to big-money signing Florian Wirtz for our favourite betting angle in this match.

After an awkward start to his life at Anfield with flashes and glimpses of quality undermined by ineffectiveness, Wirtz is beginning to become more efficient in the final third.

The Germany international has provided two assists and scored three goals in his last six appearances. Backing the chief creator for the hosts to prove the difference with a goal or an assist against Burnley (27/25 with Virgin Bet) looks a value bet.
