Steven Gerrard could be on his way back into football management - at the club that started his top-flight coaching career.
Scottish Premiership side, Rangers are reportedly holding talks with their former manager for a return to leadership after sacking Russell Martin.
Martin was fired after 123 days with Rangers, making him the shortest serving manager in the 153 year history of the club.
It's been a poor run of results for the side, only winning one of their seven league games so far this season.
A change is needed and Gerrard could be the answer.
The Liverpool legend managed the club from 2018 to 2021, leading them to the Premiership title without losing a single match in his final year.
He then departed for Premier League side Aston Villa, before dismissal in 2022.
Gerrard moved to the Saudi Pro League side, Al-Ettifaq in 2023 but eventually left by mutual decision in January 2025.
Sky Sports News reported that Gerrard is open to talks, and is now said to have travelled from the Middle East to the UK to meet with the Ranger's hierarchy.

Though the former England International is the front runner to become Martin's successor, there are other names in content - including former Everton boss, Sean Dyche.
Gerrard revealed that he has "unfinished business" in management, when speaking on Rio Ferdinand's podcast "Rio Meets".
He claimed that Rangers had been the perfect match when moving up from coaching academy football.
Could they be a match again? And good Gerrard be the key to turning Ranger's luck around?
